Power Wound Nickel in .045–.125 (TNR545125XL) is the standard five-string gauge, taper wound and cut long.
Power Wound is nickel-plated steel wrapped over a high carbon steel hex core. It is the warm, punchy voice most people mean when they say bass strings: clear highs, strong mids and a low end with real weight behind it.
The low strings are taper wound: the wrap thins where the string crosses the bridge saddle, which tightens the low end, sharpens intonation and adds sustain.
Extra long scale, for basses with a 35" scale or longer. Made in the USA.
