About Electric Signature Series

Signature sets are built to the specs of the players who use them — the exact gauges they asked for, available to anyone. Most are built on Power Wound Nickel: a nickel-plated steel wrap over a high-carbon steel hex core. Several are hybrid gauges you will not find in a standard set, because they were put together for one player's tuning, scale length and picking hand.

Six-string sets

Richard Z. Kruspe of Rammstein has two: .010–.046 for standard tuning and .009–.050 for a lighter top with a much heavier bottom. Willie Adler's .010–.048 and Gus G.'s .010–.052 are built for aggressive rhythm work with tight low ends. Zach Myers runs .011–.050 for a fuller, warmer set, and Wayne Lozinak's .011–.058 goes heavier still for low tunings. Glenn Fricker's .010–.054 pairs a standard top with a heavy bottom.

Seven-string sets

Rusty Cooley's .009–.060 is gauged for speed and articulate picking. Glenn Fricker's seven-string .010–.062 is the heavier, tighter option. Karl Sanders runs .008–.070, an unusually light top over a very heavy low end, for extreme metal tunings.

Baritone sets

Two were developed with Reverend Guitars: .0115–.056, made for the Pete Anderson Signature PA3 and tuned to C on a baritone scale, and .012–.068, hand-selected by master luthier Joe Naylor for the Descent and other Reverend baritones, with an unwound G for a more familiar feel. The Mule Resophonic set, .017–.064, was designed with Mule Resophonic Guitars for B tuning on a 25-inch scale.
