Most 34-inch basses use long scale strings, but some string-through-body basses need extra long strings. Not all do, so compare your measurements to the manufacturer's specifications.
Don't rely on the "long scale" label alone. The string needs enough winding length to reach the nut and tuning post correctly, and any taper has to land in the right place for your bass.
Measure your current string from the ball end to the taper and compare it to our lengths: long scale is about 37.25 inches and extra long is about 38 inches. If you're unsure, contact S.I.T.
