Clear nylon: the standard, warm and soft with a mellow attack.

This is a low G set, so the fourth string is wound and sits a full octave below the re-entrant G most ukulele sets use. That gives the instrument a real low end and a wider range, at the cost of the bouncy re-entrant sound.
