David Ellefson, bassist for Metal Church and Kings of Thrash, and formerly of Megadeth, plays his five-string Fusion Wound set: .045–.125 (DRB545125L), built to his own specifications.

Fusion Wound is built in two layers. We run electricity through the string to adhere a phosphor bronze under-wrap to the core, then the nickel-plated steel outer wrap goes on over that. The second layer gives a firmer low end with less bloom and more separation between notes.

Standard long scale. Made in the USA.
