Silencer Semi-Flat in .011–.050 (SL1150) is the heaviest set in the line, and the only one with a wound third string. The wound .020 G is what gives it the warmer midrange and smoother feel.
Silencer strings are made with an inverse winding process that compresses the outer wrap while leaving the inside of the string intact. The smoother surface cuts most of the squeal you get dragging fingers along the wound strings, and they still sound much closer to a roundwound than to a flatwound.
