Silencer Semi-Flat 80/20 in .012–.052 (GL1252) is the standard set and where most players start.

Silencer strings are made with an inverse winding process that compresses the outer wrap while leaving the inside of the string intact. The smoother surface cuts most of the squeal you get dragging fingers along the wound strings, and they still sound much closer to a roundwound than to a flatwound. The wrap here is 80/20 bronze, so the top end stays bright.

Made in the USA.
