About Bouzouki Strings
Our bouzouki set is built with silver-plated and steel strings for a bright, articulate response with strong projection — the ringing, cutting voice the instrument is known for. Loop end, so it fits a traditional tailpiece without adaptation, and gauged to feel even across the courses rather than leaving the bass courses loose and the top ones stiff.
The set
BZK1128 runs .011–.028. It is our standard set and the only one we make, chosen to work across traditional and modern playing rather than favouring either. Eight strings in four courses: the top two courses are paired in unison, and the bottom two are paired in octaves, which is what gives the instrument its ring.

Eight strings in four courses. The two wound strings take the bottom two courses, each paired with a thinner plain string an octave above.
How Bouzouki compares to our other specialty sets
This is the only bouzouki set we make. For other course-strung instruments we make mandolin sets in phosphor bronze, and bajo sexto and bajo quinto sets in nickel and phosphor bronze. All of them are loop end.
