Ball end strings have a small brass ball that seats in the tailpiece or a hole through the body. Loop end strings have a twisted loop that hooks over a pin or stud. They aren't interchangeable, so look at the end of a string that's on your guitar now. More on this in loop end vs ball end strings.
Our lap steel strings:
- Scotty's Non-Pedal / Lap Steel sets: ball end, in C6, A6, E13 and E7, 6-string and 8-string.
- Plain Steel Loop End singles: .009 to .017, for players whose tailpiece needs loop end on the plain strings.
