Introducing the Gus G. Signature Set — Custom Power Wound Nickel Strings Built for Heavy Metal and Rock Guitarists
We’re proud to officially welcome Gus G. — world-renowned guitarist, solo artist, and former Ozzy Osbourne guitarist — to the S.I.T. Strings artist family. To celebrate, we’ve teamed up to create his very own Gus G. Signature Series, a professional guitar string set crafted to deliver the clarity, feel, and durability that heavy touring and recording demand.
From his blazing solos and technical mastery to his work with Firewind and numerous acclaimed collaborations, Gus G. has earned his place among the most respected and influential metal guitarists of our time. Together, we’ve developed a set of S.I.T. Power Wound Nickel Strings built to perform night after night — on stage, in the studio, and everywhere in between.
The Gus G. Signature Set — Power Wound Nickel Electric Guitar Strings
Crafted in Akron, Ohio, the Gus G. Signature Set is built using our legendary Stay-In-Tune (S.I.T.) process, ensuring maximum tuning stability, long-lasting tone, and unmatched durability. Whether you’re performing aggressive metal riffs, soaring leads, or melodic passages, these strings provide the power, clarity, and consistency Gus demands from his gear.
Each set is designed to deliver the tight low end, articulate mids, and sustaining highs that define modern heavy metal and rock guitar tones — while maintaining a smooth, slinky feel ideal for both rhythm and lead players.
Set Specifications:
- Custom Gauges: 10–14–18–32–42–52 (hand-selected by Gus for a perfect balance between rhythm and lead)
- Nickel-Plated Steel Wraps for bright, punchy, and articulate tone

From Gus G.
"When I'm not on the road touring, I'm in the studio composing and recording. Therefore, I need strings that can handle the onstage beating from a Heavy Metal performance, but also stay in tune and shine through the studio speakers. I fully trust S.I.T. Strings for my needs, and I’m super excited to finally have my own custom gauge pack!"
