About

Traa Daniels is the bassist for San Diego rock band P.O.D. and has been a core member of the group since 1994. Known for his heavy groove, energetic stage presence, and fusion of rock, funk, metal, and reggae influences, Traa has played a major role in shaping the band’s unmistakable sound across decades of touring and recording.

Since joining P.O.D., Traa has performed on every official studio release from the band, including albums such as The Fundamental Elements of Southtown, Satellite, Testify, When Angels & Serpents Dance, and Murdered Love. Through massive singles like “Alive,” “Youth of the Nation,” and “Boom,” P.O.D. became one of the defining rock bands of the early 2000s while building a worldwide fanbase through nonstop touring and explosive live performances.

Originally coming from a jazz and funk background, Traa brings a unique sense of groove and rhythmic feel to P.O.D.’s aggressive sound, helping create the powerful low-end foundation that became a signature part of the band’s music. His versatile playing style combines technical ability, heavy tone, and musicality that continues to influence modern rock and alternative metal bass players.

Traa relies on S.I.T. Strings for the durability, consistency, and tone needed for demanding live performances and studio sessions.
