Shawn Cole is a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, songwriter, and entertainer widely recognized throughout the Midwest for his high-energy performances and distinctive one-man-band approach. Unlike many modern solo performers, Shawn's one-man-band show relies entirely on live performance without the use of loopers, backing tracks, or pre-recorded elements. Simultaneously playing guitar, drums, harmonica, percussion, and singing, he creates a powerful and dynamic sound that showcases both his musical skill and dedication to genuine live entertainment.
Now more than 18 years into his full-time music career, Shawn has expanded beyond solo performances and primarily focuses on his band, DrUnK MoNkeY. Known for their energetic live shows, the band performs mini tours throughout Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa, and the surrounding Midwest. Their performances feature a unique blend of rock, blues, roots music, and showmanship, including daredevil upright bass antics and electrifying saxophone solos that have helped them build a devoted regional following.
Based in Milford, Kansas, Shawn remains active both as a touring performer and as a respected session musician. Over the years, he has contributed harmonica recordings to numerous artists and projects, with his work alongside Bright Eyes standing among his most notable recording credits.
