Semper Acerbus is a Texas-based metalcore band formed in 2016 that has rapidly built a reputation for delivering crushing riffs, relentless energy, and powerful live performances. The band consists of vocalist Nelson Acerbus, guitarists Jaime Vargas and Joe Dragich, bassist Sammy Farhat, and drummer Tyler Thomas.
Blending elements of metalcore, extreme metal, and hardcore, Semper Acerbus combines aggressive breakdowns, dual-guitar harmonies, blistering solos, crushing rhythm sections, and a dynamic vocal approach that incorporates clean singing, screams, and growls. Since their formation, Semper Acerbus has performed at major festivals throughout North America and internationally, including Blue Ridge Rock Festival, Full Terror Assault, So What?! Music Festival, Central Florida Metal Fest, Hell and Heaven Open Air, and Colombia Tattoo Music Fest. Their appearance on the main stage at Hell and Heaven further solidified their growing presence in the international metal scene.
The band has also toured and shared stages with an impressive lineup of artists including Asesino, Fear Factory, Ill Niño, Soulfly, Infected Rain, Upon a Burning Body, Unearth, Powerman 5000, and Skinlab, among many others.
