Ron Ruhs is a guitarist, songwriter, and active member of the Midwest punk scene, currently serving as rhythm guitarist for The Bricks, a faith-based punk/Oi band based in the Omaha, Nebraska area. Known for their message of positivity, unity, and community, The Bricks have built a strong regional following through energetic live performances and a commitment to bringing people together through music.
Performing throughout Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri, and Kansas, Ron and The Bricks have shared stages with a wide variety of artists while fostering the camaraderie and spirit that have long been hallmarks of the punk community. One of the band's recent highlights was performing on the Subculture Community Stage at Audiofeed Festival, introducing their music and message to an even broader audience.
Beyond his work with The Bricks, Ron also contributes to the collaborative project Sore Bones, working alongside musicians from several bands associated with the Thumper Punk Records roster. Through both projects, he continues to support independent music while remaining deeply connected to the punk and alternative music communities.
Whether performing live, writing new material, or recording in the studio, Ron brings a straightforward, energetic approach to guitar playing that reflects the authenticity and spirit of the music he loves.
