Apichart Promraksa, better known as Moo, is the guitarist for legendary Thai rock band Big Ass and one of the most recognizable guitarists in Thailand’s modern rock scene. Known for his unmistakable playing style, Moo combines powerful acoustic textures, bold guitar riffs, melodic harmonized lines, and aggressive energy into performances that have helped define the sound of Big Ass for years.
Beyond his guitar work, Moo is also known for his dynamic stage presence and larger-than-life performances, often incorporating theatrical entertainment elements that have become part of the band’s live identity. Whether delivering crushing rock riffs or emotional melodic passages, his playing remains a major part of Big Ass’s signature sound.
Moo has also played a significant creative role within the band as a songwriter and composer behind many of Big Ass’s most beloved ballads and hit songs, including “Ting Wai Nai Jai,” “Foon,” “Koet Ma Kae Rak Kan,” “Lom Plian This,” and “Mai Diang Sa.” His melodic sensibility and songwriting approach helped shape the band’s ability to balance emotional ballads with hard-hitting rock anthems.
As the older brother of the band’s drummer Kob, Moo continues to help lead Big Ass through major tours, recordings, and performances across Thailand and beyond.
