Evan Blankenship is the lead singer and guitarist for Ohio-based country rock band North to Nashville. Combining high-energy live performances with modern country songwriting, Evan and the band have built a strong following through relentless touring, powerful musicianship, and a deep connection with audiences across the Midwest and beyond.

Before pursuing music full-time, Evan played offensive line for Ohio State Buckeyes football from 2007 to 2011, bringing the same work ethic and intensity from the football field to the stage. Since forming North to Nashville, the band has shared stages with major country artists including Luke Combs, Eric Church, Darius Rucker, Old Dominion, Rascal Flatts, Lee Brice, Jake Owen, Cole Swindell, and Chris Young.

In 2023, North to Nashville released their self-titled debut album, which broke into the Top 10 Country Albums chart on iTunes. Their single “Whisperin’” also reached the top of Music Row’s Top 40 Country Breakout Radio chart. In 2024, the band was voted Best Band in Columbus, Ohio by 614 Magazine.

Beyond music, Evan and North to Nashville have remained deeply involved in charitable efforts, helping raise more than $125,000 for the Buckeye Cruise for Cancer and the James Cancer Hospital over the past six years while becoming a staple act aboard the annual event.

Proudly representing Ohio’s growing country music scene, Evan and the band continue working to establish North to Nashville as the next major country act from the Buckeye State.
