Rick Ayers (Waste Down Rebels)
Rick Ayers, the founder, owner, chief songwriter and guitarist of Waste Down Rebels (WDR). Rick has been performing and touring professionally for over 25 years. During this time Rick has recorded and been an integral element in writing, recording and producing over 10 albums. Rick founded Waste Down Rebels in 2012 with WDRs first release entitled “Beyond the Waste”. “Beyond the Waste” was quickly followed by “WDR II” and “Rebel Resurrection”. In 2019, WDR releases the self-entitled EP “Salt in the Eye” and includes a remix/recording of the single “The War Effort” prefacing the LP “WDR Trois – Slave to the System” and the live DVD Waste Down Rebels Live at Fish Head Cantina, Baltimore, MD.
Musical Influences range from Classical to Metal, with guitar likes of Jimi Hendrix, Randy Rhoads, Dimebag Darrell, Slash, Zakk Wylde and many more.
