Gerhard Krause (Finding Faith/Thrillbilly Deluxe)
Gerhard was always drawn to music from a very early age. But it really took hold with the discovery of bands like Pink Floyd, Triumph, Rush, and Yes. All of which, cultivated his taste for music and fueled the desire to be in a band.
The move to Las Vegas from Chicago in the early 90’s is what started his dream of performing on stage. That first Christmas he was gifted with what is now known as the “Donald Duck” bass. It was a Kaman four string, black GTX 53 with paint splatter. It is still has a permanent spot on the music room wall.
Shortly after getting that bass, and a few lessons, it was audition time. He didn’t have to audition long since the first band he played for picked him up. It was official and the dream became a reality. That first band, “Timepeace”, was on the road touring their very first original album.
Since then, Gerhard has performed with many of his idols, both in the rock and country scene.
Two years were spent with rock icon, Frank DiMino (Angel), and from there, he has been on the stages with artists such as: John Rich (Big and Rich), Blas Elias (Trans Siberian Orchestra/Slaughter), and Andrew Tierney (Human Nature). The past eight years have been spent playing with and on the road with Nashville acts.
He has also shared billing with: Chris Stapleton, Rascal Flatts, Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Little Big Town, Reba McEntire, Dwight Yoakam, Randy Travis and Kenny Rogers.
Gerhard is currently performing with Billboard Top artists “Finding Faith”, www.iamfindingfaith.com, whose album debuted at #1 on the Australian Christian charts, has had two top ten singles, and is currently rising up the US Billboard Charts. His other group, the regionally successful Country band “Thrillbilly Deluxe”, www.thrillbillydeluxelv.com, has also released singles, “Too Late” and “Sunday Morning” to all musical platforms with the first album to be released in 2019.
