Singer | Songwriter | Musician | Radio Show Host | Event Promoter

Tour Manager & Bass Player for Edge of Destiny. Founder & Singer/songwriter for One World (R)evolution. Radio show host at On The Record podcast. Event promoter with AstraLux Live.

Astrum has been in the music industry since 1983. She started off as drummer for San Francisco Bay Area punk band Private Outrage. Her 1st show was opening for The Circle Jerks and Testament.

In the mid 80’s she started playing guitar, and after high school attended Full Sail University where she studied Record Production and Live Sound Engineering. By the late 80’s she had formed her 1st band, Knightmare. Knightmare was a metal band based out of Houston, TX that opened for King Diamond and Crimson Glory, and was quite successful, releasing 3 EPs that are now a part of the Music World Music | INgrooves catalog (Mathew Knowles’ record label).

After Knightmare disbanded in 1991, Astrum attended college at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida where she was trained in classical and jazz voice, majored in Business Management | Entrepreneurship, and minored in Music, and Music Business & Entertainment Industries. In her last semester at UM, she interned with Island Records.

During college she became a solo artist and was signed to ‘Cane Records, the University’s student run record label, where she released 2 songs on the “Miami Hybridized” compilation released in 1995.

Astrum went on to write, record, and produce 6 self-released albums as a solo artist from 1997 to 2008 (under her birth name “Cheryl Hill”). In 2009, Astrum formed conscious rock band One World (R)evolution and self-released 2 albums.

In 2018, Astrum teamed up with Kraevin Caedo and Stan Petraitis to form her current band Egde of Destiny. Edge of Destiny recorded and released a fierce and ferocious cover of “Invincible” by Pat Benatar, and they are getting ready to begin recording their originals.

Astrum is also reviving her podcast On The Record and looking to develop it into a YouTube Channel show as well.
