The Appalachian Soul Man Aristotle Jones
Since 2003 Aristotle Jones has been performing nationally with his bands and as a solo performer. He has released four studio albums and has performed on bills with platinum selling artists like Don McClean, Haley Reinhart as well as Funk, Soul and R&B legends Dumpstaphunk, and Bernie Worrell, among many others. Coining his sound as “Appalachian Soul” Jones carries on the tradition of the making soulful, high energy folk music that was found in juke joints in Appalachian Region in the 20th Century and in 2023 Aristotle was awarded the Black Appalachian Storyteller Fellowship by the National Association of Black Storytellers for his work on his album “Mountain Doo-Wop & the Streets of Osage”.
