John has earned a reputation as a dynamic live performer as well as a technically advanced Guitarist. After spending his formative years in the local Rock/Metal scene as a self taught player, John sought out private instruction to sharpen his theory and playing skills. These studies led John to develop a passionate interest in Jazz and Fusion, while still keeping one foot firmly planted in Rock-n-Roll. John’s influences range from Randy Rhoads and Neal Schon to Frank Gambale and Al DiMeola. His ability to adapt quickly to almost any playing style is evidenced by his long time employment with DanceRegina, a high energy dance band and his recent stint with the Amy Lepard Band, a pop/R&B style group. John brings more to the table than just extraordinary chops and the ability to memorize large catalogs of playlists. He is also a talented vocalist with an amazing vocal range that has allowed him to perform as both frontman and in backing vocal positions with various bands. In 1999 John wrote and recorded his debut solo CD modeous eclectic which contained a balance of Fusion influence as well as solid melodic Rock compositions. The album scored as high as no.2 on Guitar 9 Records’ Progressive Best Sellers charts and has maintained a respectable position since it’s release. John’s trio, John Inman Netwerk instantly scored opening slots and shared billing with notable acts such as Gary Hoey, King’s X, and Dream Theater. In 2002 John released his second CD, skiesWIDEopen. This album went even further into Fusion realms as well as more intense Progressive Rock, while still keeping a strong focus on melody.
