Canadian singer/songwriter David Blair is known for his eternal smile, stories and engaging dance moves. He is described by fans and pundits as charismatic, heartfelt and contagious. His versatile voice effortlessly covers a wide range of feelings, coupled with a beautiful accompaniment of both guitar and piano, creates a captivating performance that draws all attention to the stage.
David has been based in Berlin for 3 years, and in support of his new album “What Are You Trying To Say”, he is touring Europe. He took the time needed to release this fifth record as the work was split between three cities in different countries including vocals, piano and strings being recorded in Paris at La Seine Studios (Shakira, Alicia Keys, Kanye West).
The origin of this album is acoustic, however David has teamed up with Swedish producer and DJ “Oscillian” and together have produced several electronic remixes. Among them was the first single “Work It Out” which charted in the top thirty for digital downloads on Amazon in it’s second week after release in Germany. As of fall 2016, David is now joined in Europe by his drummer and backing vocalist ‘Schroeder’, and the plan from here is extensive touring in the new year.
A seasoned veteran to the stage, David has performed over 600 shows worldwide in over 20 countries. He was a semi-finalist in Canada’s Got Talent, a finalist in the Great American Song, and a finalist again in the USA and Billboard songwriting contests. David looks to build on the success of his previous album “Stronger Higher Faster”, which was his first album released in Europe. It saw a top 100 radio single titled “Alone Together” and another Amazon top ten digital single named “This Is The Soundtrack” in Germany. Now, armed with his new album, David brings a new deeper look into his mind filled with questions, worry and love.
