The Hollow
To make it not so simple, our sound may be described as rock driven music, with heavily atmospheric guitars and melodies, a solid rhythm section that makes you want to move and powerful vocals that make you feel. The Hollow is a rock band that transcends the genre by combining a wide range of musical influences with a strong sense of songwriting and developing a sound that's both commercially and artistically viable.
Formerly known as The Meathooks, The Hollow is an Independent Artist from the NY/NJ metro area currently seeking record label and/or management representation. Under The Meathooks name, the band released their first full length album in 2008 titled No End in Sight receiving both press and radio play being featured in: The Star Ledger, The Aquarian Weekly, The Observer Tribune, Winter X Games, 105.5 WDHA, 106.3 G Rock, 101.9 WRXP and The Morristown Music Watch. The Aquarian reviewed the album with an overall rating of "SOLID" describing their sound as "A potent blend of rock, funk and blues rounded out with ambient guitars and an overall feeling of floatiness, is one that instantly draws you in until you're hooked!"
The Sophomore album (now under the new name The Hollow) has just been released, along with a music video to support the single Run Away.
