'everything existing is worthy of collapsing', says mephistopheles in goethes 'faust'. mephistosystem did not only adopt the name of faust's rival, they also took over his nihilistic principle. collapse and destruction always release energies. and these energies are the impulses for mephistosystem.

they destroy the sound universe arranged by themselves with devilish lust, again and again, and create in and with this process something totally different, something totally new. the character of mephistosystem is completely paradoxical: they are the virus in the system and at the same time a virus with system.



mephistosystem come from nowhere. mephistosystem do not have a history. with a big bang - the debut album 'endless crawl' - the band recreated themselves. the creative centre of the system, which does not compromise with its industrial and aggressive sound, is abele franzé. as an obsessive sound fetishist, he takes the chaos on, just to fit it into his system and to keep it in check, but just for the time of a song. thus created is a metallic cold sound image, in which electronic and rock elements enter a symbiosis. the unmistakable intensity of mephistosystem's sound results from the discrepancy of chaos and organisation, of creativity and destruction: strange and beautiful.



mephistosystem belong to the exponents of industrial-rock. they also show a preference for lending their audiodesign a destructive touch. they also aim for perfection and demonstrate the power of their sound-system with a bias towards rampant experiments and their self-awareness and tough-minded live-appearance.
