AMARU is a band formed by Singer/Songwriter Bobby Amaru. Bobby has been playing music since he was thirteen years old and is able to play a wide variety of instruments, excelling in many, especially drumming. Bobby is foremost, a songwriter and producer however. He is producing all of his current music and performs all of the instruments on the album. Bobby’s first band, Burn Season, was quickly signed to Bieler Bros Records and Bobby produced the self titled debut album. After 6 great years with Burn Season, Bobby felt it was time to move on.

After recording countless songs in a Jacksonville, Florida studio with long time friend Sam Rivers of the band "LIMP BIZKIT" Bobby realized that he needed the right band to help him spread his music to the world! Amaru brought in Brad Stewart, formerly of "SHINEDOWN", to handle the bass guitar. Stewart also has co-writing credits on the Puddle of Mudd hit song “Control” and on the Shinedown Rock Radio / Top 40 hit, “I Dare You”. The latter song was covered by Chris Daughtry and aired nationally on American Idol. They then recruited guitarist Stephen Carey, of the Jacksonville base band "Shadow Agency", to handle all the guitars! The search for a drummer seemed to be the hardest part, but after countless auditions, local musician and former drummer of The Embraced, Jonathan Fowler was the guy!

Although AMARU has only been a band for a short period... they are prepared and dedicated to be around for a long time. AMARU will continue to perform high energy shows in the south-east and soon, nationally. Florida’s On Location TV has played an integral part as Executive Producer in the Amaru project and continues to support the Amaru movement toward huge success. Amaru wants their music to sink into people’s skin and lyrically stick to their minds and heart! Bobby has always believed that if someone listens to your music and can immediately relate to what you’re saying, you’ve succeeded! These types of songs are forever.... …Hear for Yourself.
