IN APRIL 2009 THEY CAME THROUGH AS WINNERS OF THE SEDINI ROCK CONTEST”, IN AUGUST OF THE “NEWSOUND FESTIVAL”, AND THE “BULZI ROCK FESTIVAL”, IN SEPTEMBER THEY CLAIMED 1ST PLACE AT THE “NOTE D’ESTATE” IN VALLEDORIA, ITALY. IN FEBRUARY 2010 THE BAND SIGNED TO CASKET COPRO RECORDS, ENGLISH RECORD LABEL, UNDER WHICH WILL BE RELEASE THEIR ALBUM CALLED “MAITRI”, WHICH WILL BE RELEASED WORLDWIDE IN FEBRUARY 2011. IN FEBRUARY 2010 THE BAND IS CALLED IN MILAN TO PLAY LIVE ON ROCK TV, PROGRAMS OF THE SKY TV. IN THE SUMMER OF 2010 THEY WON MANY CONTEST. On August 2010 the band plays in an important club in London, the Monto Water Rats, on October 2010 the single of the band "Killing My Enemies" contained in the cd next to be released is chosen for a compilation produced in Los Angeles, KILL CITY 25. IN DeceMBER 2010 SOULS OF DIOTIMA have played with the most important italian metal band, DGM.”. Maitri released February 14, 2011, their first debut album, produced and distributed internationally British label Copro / Casket Records, and promoted by Alkemist Fanatix Europe. The album is available on the major music distribution websites such as iTunes, Napster, Amazon and many others and are getting a very good success at international level by both the public and by critics, and pending confirmation of important dates in live Italy and abroad, there are thousands of downloads of the album in many countries such as China, Japan, Belgium, Germany and northern Europe. In January released the first official video clip of the band, “killing my enemies”, resulting in less than a week more than 4,000 visits. Their music is influenced by symphonic, power and progressive metal bands such as Dream Theater ,Nightwish, Epica, Stratovarius, Angra and many others.
